The OGSA-DAI roadmap until January 2008 strives to balance three
important areas of activity:

Undertaking development work to assist specific projects in their use
of OGSA-DAI.

Undertaking ongoing research into data access and integration using
OGSA-DAI.

Continuing work in OGSA-DAI and standards compliance.
The main activities being undertaken by the OGSA-DAI project until
January 2008 are as follows:

Working closely with a small group of projects to address
project-related requirements to assist in their data access and
integration work.

Porting OGSA-DQP to work with OGSA-DAI 3.0.

Undertaking research into the use of generic activities and dynamic
code within OGSA-DAI workflows.

Implementing a byte-IO interface to OGSA-DAI.

Implementing the OGF WS-DAI relational and XML specifications using

This is in addition to OGSA-DAI's continuing commitment to provide
ongoing general user support and participation in key technology
conferences and workshops.
Please note that though we do not envisage a major OGSA-DAI release
within the next 6 months we do expect to release patches and bug-fixes
at regular intervals.
