Update:

I have found that the OGSA-DAI-USER-INSTALL.txt that ships with the current binary and source ogsadai 3.1 tarball is truncated. The URL: http://www.ogsadai.org.uk/docs/R3.1/OGSA-DAI-USER-INSTALL.txt has steps to take in order to get 3.1 to work with 3.2(beta). I have since blew away Tomcat, reinstalled it, redeployed ogsa into it, and downloaded the source distribution of 3.1 in order to make the changes necessary.

After making said changes, I am still getting the following errors:

200055 [http-8080-Processor24] ERROR uk.org.ogsadai.service.gdsf.GridDataServiceFactory - Remote Access Problem when trying to register with DAISGR at http://localhost:8080/ogsa/services/ogsadai/DAIServiceGroupRegistry
200056 [http-8080-Processor24] ERROR uk.org.ogsadai.service.gdsf.GridDataServiceFactory - SystemException created - Remote Access Problem when trying to register with DAISGR at http://localhost:8080/ogsa/services/ogsadai/DAIServiceGroupRegistry
