Thanks to everyone for their prompt replies.

The one thing that I didn't have that was suggested was Tomcat and Globus running as the same user. Fact is, it was, but everything was installed and running as root, so I added a user 'globus' and got rid of that error for a minute, as it was replaced by a grim error, which had to do with some /tmp files that needed to be removed. Then, I was back to the same error that was being shown to the browser, but upon checking the tomcat logs I saw this:

[06/23/2004 09:26:27:772 ] org.globus.ogsa.handlers.RPCURIProvider [getServiceObject:96] ERROR: java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://127.0.0.1:8080/ogsa/schema/ogsadai/gdsf/grid_data_service_factory_service.wsdl

Now we're getting somewhere. My question is now, where should tomcat be looking for that file? I found a directory named 'gdsf' within <TOMCAT>/webapps/ROOT/schema/ogsadai, but I cannot seem to get to that via a browser. I CAN get to http://>/ogsa/schema/ and see a bunch of directories, but not 'ogsadai' as I am expecting.

I was thinking that maybe there was a config file that was pointing to the wrong place (know that I haven't changed any configs except for what the install instructions said regarding DB connectivity, etc), but as I can't seem to get to 'grid_data_service_factory_service.wsdl' from any path I try, I suspect it is something else.

Is it then possible that the files in <TOMCAT>/webapps/ROOT/schema/ogsadai need to be copied to <TOMCAT>/webapps/ogsa/schema ?

To answer some questions I was asked, I am using Gt3.2 & OGSA-DAI 3.1 at the request of the developers. I assumed they knew what works within their realms, but if someone here can tell me that these two packages don't work together, I can push it back on them and would be greatful to you for it ;)

All of the mime-mappings are in both the <TOMCAT>/conf/web.xml and <TOMCAT>/webapps/ogsa/WEB-INF/web.xml files (I had to add it to <TOMCAT>/conf/web.xml file, but that was done early on).

Reading the 'doc/OGSA-DAI-USER-INSTALL.txt' distributed with OGSADAI 3.1 shows this:

At the time of writing, the following changes are required to
make OGSA-DAI 3.1 build against Globus Toolkit 3.2
EOF

... So i'm at a loss there ;)

Thanks again everyone for your help!

Brian

http://>:8080/ogsa/services shows what it is supposed to (And now ... Some Services), and the needed OGSA-DAI services show up, but I cannot open up the (wsdl) link. Following it gives me the following error:
