Hello Guy
The intention is that submitted requests (scripts) can have their parameter
values changed. In release 1/1.5 you can submit a request with
DefineParameter elements and then redefine then, by repeating the
DefineParameter elements, in a subsequent request of the same name.
If I remember correctly the functionality to make use of scripts from the
GDSF configuration was not enabled for Release 1 and 1.5. You can however
submit you own named request to the GDS and then reuse it by resubmitting a
request with the same name but containing just DefineParameter and Execute
activities.
For Release 2 (due in the next couple of weeks) the request document has
changed a little and we have moved away from this redefinition model. The
parameters to a request are now included in the execute element.
Regards
Simon

Subject: Setting parameters in pre-defined scripts
Suppose that I have a script pre-defined in the GDS installation. How
would I
go about calling that script with different parameter values? Can I send
my
own script from client to server with AddParameter elements in it that
refer
to the parameters in the pre-defined script?
